Axoneme - Axoneme
Spacetronica breaching the airwaves later this month from a new collaboration between two Russian artists. I have previously raved about the Burial-esque and beyond quality of Nocow’s releases, and with his long time friend and associate Hmot in the studio they have produced some interesting pieces for your listening pleasure. Lovers of the ethereal side of 2-step and trance will enjoy a synthesis of dream-like flavors. Check out the rest of the EP here.
DFRNT - Fading Album Promo Mix
Incredible preview of DFRNT’s upcoming LP, Fading, a dream soundtrack you’ll find yourself drifting through more than once in anticipation for that deep end ambiance we love and have come to expect from this man.
Lady Gaga - So Happy I Could Die (excerpt)
Happy in the club with a bottle of red wine
Stars in our eyes ‘cause we’re having a good time
So happy I could die
Be your best friend yeah I love you forever,
Up in the clouds we’re both higher than ever
So happy I could die
And it’s all right
Don’t you just hate it when you only like part of a song? Had to dig this up with a lyrics search after the chorus got stuck in my head over the weekend. I’m a little disappointed the rest of the track has less to offer, though not surprised — I won’t say Lady Gaga isn’t a dedicated entertainer but her stuff just doesn’t do it for me. The horn instrumentation sounds like a train wreck and really needs to be reworked. But I’ll admit the vocal hook is pretty catchy. Hoping someone will create a decent cover or remix of just the chorus so this doesn’t have to be such a guilty pleasure. :P

Σ-Fly - Tetrachrome EP
”Taking the musical aesthetics from the likes of Boards Of Canada, Lapalux, Burial and some of our previous Cut producers like Great Skies or Essay, Tom envelops all the great parts and ultimately produces his own emotive, melodic and beautifully deep take on the style.”
Beautiful work by Σ-Fly (Sigmafly) on his Tetrachrome EP. Get it free from DFRNT’s netlabel: http://cutmusic.org/
Sylk 130 (King Britt) featuring Ruth Anne - All Thru Me
Heavenly soul teaser.
SATURN NEVER SLEEPS - YESTERDAY’S MACHINE

Stirring in the right doses of soul and contemplation, Yesterday’s Machine inspires one to those transitory spaces that breathe in an element of serenity. A welcome companion on solitary train rides and homebound morning twilight cruises.
