so ive been reading about fractal forms in nature and alot of contemporary research that shows that there are natural mathematical forms and patterns that recur regardless of scale or material and how the universe has a recursive, self-similar structure that is identical as you zoom in and out and i think "as above, so below" relates to that idea, which is consistent with the hermetic thought that quote refers to.
so... should i get 'as above, so below' tattood on my face?

But don’t you think it would make such a better tramp stamp?

As Above, So Below.

(LMAO, just kidding. I am hoping you’re in as a silly a mood as I am, you should be if you are enjoying a drink! As an aside to you and everyone here who probably doesn’t know it, my humor can be a bit dark or perverse. Please bear with me. ;)

On a serious note, I am quite fond of the “As Above, So Below” sentiment. However, facial tattoos usually aren’t the best idea, unless they represent something which you know will hold symbolic value for you throughout the rest of your life. On an aesthetic level, you would want all visual aspects of it to compliment the features of your face, rather than take away from your appearance. Words are almost impossible to place tastefully on the face. It’s the only mug you got! Try thinking about between the shoulders above the back, or the chest, somewhere you can explore a centered and symmetrical design.
