Heh, yeah sounds like there’s at least a couple parallels. :P
My shift in course also grew out of considerations of integrity in the overarching realm of academia, but yes, practicality and sustainability were definitely important factors. Despite the headdesk moments I believe it’s a good change of pace, I’m getting a chance to expand my knowledge in areas I never had the time to.
