If you were given a chance to have your mind/soul/essence preserved for eternity, would you do it?

If there was a way to preserve my likeness for posterity? Sure, I might do that, but at best it would be a copy of myself. Now, if you are asking if there was a way I could upload my consciousness to the net in some sort of Ghost in the Shell scenario… that would take some more musing, as it would open more questions about what I might be missing by not allowing my soul to pass on to… wherever it is meant to go.
